Which Operating System Do I Have

  1. Click the Start button and then select Run.
  2. Type winver in the Run box, then click OK.
  3. An About Windows window opens with the operating system indicated. You will need to know the version of Windows (such as 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8) you are running on your computer when installing software and performing other computer maintenance. Also, note the service pack (if applicable) on your maintenance checklist as well.

Reset your Internet Explorer settings

  1. Close Internet Explorer.
  2. Click the Start button & then Control Panel. (type control panel if you cant see it)
  3. If you have an Internet Options icon, click that. Otherwise, click the Network and Internet Connections icon; then click Internet Options.
  4. On the General tab, click the Delete Cookies (browsing history) button and select everything you want deleted.
  5. Go to the Advanced tab.
  6. Click the button labelled “Restore Defaults” or “Restore Advanced Settings”.
  7. Click OK.

  1. In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu Chrome Menu
  2. Select Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  4. Under the section “Reset settings,” click Reset settings.
  5. In the dialog that appears, click Reset.
